Guidelines for Submitting an Abstract
How to submit an abstract to the 2022 Canadian Glycomics Symposium
Call for Abstracts closes February 28, 2022. Notification on whether the abstract is accepted will be in late March 2022.
Abstracts must be original research work and the content relevant to glycomics. Abstracts will be rejected by the reviewers if the abstract is not appropriate, or promotional in nature. Please note that the poster session is open to the public. We strongly recommend not to include any proprietary information in the abstract.
Checklist Before Submission
Document Type
Submit a WORD (*.doc, *docx) file, and name your file as
“first name_last name.doc“.
Abstract Length
500 words or less, and must fit within a single letter-sized page with 1″ margins (top, bottom, left, right).
Title
The title should be entered in sentence case and in bold. Capitalize only the first letter of the title, any proper nouns or acronyms, and the first word after a colon (;).
Sample title: Automating mass spectrometry-based quantitative glycomics.
Authors and Institutions
Presenting author should be underlined. If there are multiple authors on the abstract with multiple affiliated institutions, each author should be superscripted for respective affiliated institutions.
Abstract Body
Do not include self-citations, references, keywords, bibliographies, acknowledgements, support/grants, or disclaimer in your abstract.
Font and Style
All content should be in Arial 11 pt. Ensure glyphs are in Arial font. Leave one blank line between paragraphs and do not indent new paragraphs.
Figures
Black and white figures and tables may be included in the abstract if space permits. Ensure all graphics are in high resolution (300 dpi) and inserted at the original (100%) size.
